LG 34" Ultrawide 240 Hz OLED. Coming from a Dell 1440p 144 Hz TN panel that I bought 7 years ago saying the difference is night and day is an understatement. This thing feels so big and the colors are fantastic.

Niiiice.. I understand OLED has better contrast, but so far I've never seen one comparison where two different monitors display the same wallpaper.
When it's side-by-side like this, the OLED makes the TN panel looks archaic
I assume you got the OLED panel before tariff increase?
The other monitor is actually a Dell IPS with some serious backlight bleed, I have another that isn't as bad that I will switch to. Actually got a really good deal on it, ordered directly from LG and regular price is $1299 and they had it on sale for $799 with a code for an additional 20% so I got it for $640.Niiiice.. How are OLED with text and especially coding ? I read/see here and there that subpixel layout ain't optimal, but how bad is it in real-life ?
I had heard the same thing and was worried about it but honestly the text looks fine. I don't do any coding so can't comment on that but the text on this forum looks normal to me.
These newer high-density OLEDs are fine for text....just beware using them for focused productivity with static UI--you'll cause image permanence over time.
That, on the other, hand is a deal-breaker for me and it's depicted as "a thing from the past". Burn-in still is a thing with OLED ? Yt videos about it says it's a non-issue but I'd prefere to be on the safe side.
I don't care about the inky black or high refresh rate ... my only appeal for OLED is the garanteed absence of bleeding, due to how it works. Have add 2 IPS with serious bleeding and it is super distracting.
All panels will burn-in sooner or later, just look at any airport flight-status monitor bank. OLEDs, because of their construction, are a bit more prone to it. HardwareUnboxed did a year-long 8+ hour/day worst-case only-productivity test on one of the new 240Hz 4K QD OLEDs. It honestly turned out quite good considering they knowingly and intentionally were abusing the panel.
Whoa that's like 50% discount! Pretty much a must buy, especially if you're looking for a monitor. That makes it very decent for a 4K, 34 inch OLED monitor.
Well I won the lottery....scored a 5080, at proper $999 MSRP at my local WorstBuy. It only took 7 months. Finally can drive my bloody 240Hz 4K OLED monitor properly

I bought a Creality Space pi X4 late last year, and it's improved the reliability of my PLA prints significantly. Living in a subtropical climate means things get moist, so having a dryer was a good purchase.
Whoa that's a pretty advanced model. I'm looking for a more modest solution, something like Sunlu Filadryer SP2 or Sovol SH02.
My SH02 works well but doesn't rotate the spools and it's LOUD. Better for storing than printing directly from as well (at least for me)
Ooh thanks for informing this! I guess I'll skip the SH02.
I don't plan to print while drying at the same time, but indeed I want my dryer to be able to feed to the printer.
