I'm just thinking how on the earth could they cool an GTX1080 with that aluminum cooler? Perhaps the MXM version runs at a lower clock speed?

ha! I see!Still, it's pretty impressive for such a cooler to achieve this much... Shame on Asrock for not spending more on it.
I'm excited to see ASRock is pushing on with STX despite being alone in doing so. I hope they are able to develop it a bit further to where it can be adopted and a market for it's components is created.
It would be a big opportunity for AMD, since it appears Intel has all but abandoned it along with Thin ITX. I saw STX as a better answer for systems that don't require everything brought into the ITX platform, enabling the miniaturization we are after.
Fingers crossed they are able to pull it off.
