There is also quite a few more german resellers like https://www.itboost.de/ and a few danish sites too like www.proshop.dk.

There will always be something latest

Finally got my 4650G and looking for the X300 now but wanted to know what kind of memory i can get. Given it's only SO-DIMM there's no stable OC memory I would be able to clock to 4000MHZ out there is it (that doesnt cost a fortune or perhaps doesnt require an advanced cooling solution)? Looking at doing dual channel 2X8GB

@asrock_mini_stx I just got some crucial ballistix (BL2K16G32C16S4B) 3200mhz cl16, maybe something for you? I'm planning on overclocking it later.

I'm running a 3400g in the x300 for a couple days now. I was wondering if anyone knows what's best to overclock for the highest graphics performance. I'm considering undervolting/underclocking the cpu and overclocking the gpu and ram, will this be optimal in terms of reducing heat output and improving graphics?

What a great source of information you all are :)
Could one of you confirm the latest BIOS for a Renoir? Is it 3.60S, or should I stick to 3.60R?
I'd like to upgrade my Girlfriend's A300 because the Minecraft on a 3200G works, but doesn't wow. My plan is to buy her a 4650G (from Aliexpress probably...) and pass the 3200G on to my pa.
What I understood from your discussion is the 3.60R has issues with deep sleep, but she doesn't need that as it just gives coil whine.

If you're planning (or having) SATA drive (not NVMe), better stick with 3.60N - see https://smallformfactor.net/forum/t...a300m-deskmini-a300.10567/page-23#post-230570

And no sleep mode (S3, not Deep sleep) is related to Renoir APUs in A300/X300 generally, not to any particular BIOS.

my experiences:
- no problem with SATA drives on 3.60S (i use 2x240GB in RAID0 for storage)
- 4650G is not a big upgrade in iGPU performance compared to 3200G, see my previous post about it (2200G -> 4650G). i'd consider buying 4750G instead (+1 CU, +10% clock speeds = 20-25% faster iGPU). 8/16 core CPU is little overkill for minecraft though :p

Still waiting for someone to prove (or disprove) you can run 4750G with 3200 CL16 memory on an A300 or X300...

rubicoin, except the price tag of 4750G 😱

sure, 352$ vs 230$ plus shipping is quite a difference, not worth the extra money if no additional cpu performance is needed.

but if you can wait a couple of weeks for the m2.adapter to arrive and you are not afraid of a little modding, you can keep the 3200G and install an entry level egpu. like a 5500xt/1650super for much better graphics performance but roughly the same cost as a new 4650g (with 12V psu included).

synthetics and old games, why
sure, iGPU isn't much faster but at least it isn't bottlenecked by just 4 thread CPU in modern games

you can still pop in a 4/8 core 4350G for 158$ plus shipping and extend system with an egpu. whole other league in gaming performance for +150$ compared to 4650G.

and extend system with an egpu
why?
i mean it doesn't fit inside a case anyway, plus PSU for GPU...
any point to use questionable A300 then instead of something like
cheaper not_APU (cause you probably doesn't need iGPU anymore) + K39/metalfish_s3/etc and normal mITX mobo with Flex PSU?

Hi guys,

I have display scale set set to 125%, but, probably when not enough RAM, screen became blank for a while and when screen back to alive, display scale reset to the default.

Had to rebbot the pc to restore the display back to its previous settings.

Radeon App (ver 20.11.1) not open when double click it. CPU 2400G, BIOS 3.41, Windows 10 Pro. 16GB RAM.

Anyone have the same experince with mine?

answer is simple: price. you can never get an itx mobo+case+psu for $150. also i thought we were talking about upgrading A300 someone already has.
