@wilsonn8 ugh, sorry to hear that, so you changed your BIOS to 3.60S and installed the M2 currently @rear? well, if it's working like this, I would sqeeze my shoulders and work as it is now. I dunno.
@yuusou while the controller of an SSD likes temperatures to operate it's the opposite for NAND chips where the actual data is stored. in the front M2 I have temps about 2x 45°C for NAND and 65°C-80°C for the controller. On the rear side the controller went up to 100°C und NAND +15°C more -which in the long run is not that good. Just should be considered...
@yck3110 A300-specific there was an option to choose TDP level in earlier BIOS releases. But I do not recommend using them.
@gustav I am using a deskmini x300,not a300, but i struggle to change to tdp setting, i cant find it at all, i would like to see anyone knows where the tdp configuration locates?

anyone have experience to install axp 90 on a300/x300, i have to loosen the vrm heatsink on the motherboard a little bit, in order to have enough room to install the axp90 properly, like this video ,
would it damage the vrm, and have strange readings on vrm temp? coz i have reading on 115-118 degree celsius on motherboard temp and AUXTIN1,AUXTIN2 and AUXTIN3 temp are also 100+ in hwinfo64, anyone know the reason causing these issues?

sorry to hear that :(

this could be a front m.2 slot error as well. hardware issue i mean.

Seens like it, idk, but even if issue at front m.2 slot. Shouldn't it still work perfectly fine with rear m.2 slot?
Theres the blank screen blinking after i "save and exit" bios, something new i experience with 3.60S bios. I have to manually off/on hardware to boot back windows.
Meh, unfortunate, thanks much for assistance!

I loosened it, installed the heatsink, then tightened it back up best I could and all seems fine. You can ignore AUXTIN, they're supposed to be for ATX PSU reading if your system has one.

I have the A300 and use it with a 4750G. Temperature is much cooler then with the 2400G and the 3400G. At idle it is just using 7 Watt. The 2400G was using more the 10 Watt. But also under load the 4750G is using less power and temperatures are no where near what I have seen with the 2400G and 3400G.

A problem was the Ram (Corsair Vengeance CMSX32GX4M2A3000C16). With the 2400G it was running without any issue. But the 4750G would lock up when running glmark2. Setting the Ram Speed to 2666 solved this. However the system was not sable. I then bought the Kingston HX432S20IBK2/64 and at least for a month now it is running without an problems at 3200.
I am confuse, other user said that A300 power brick is 120W and this is not enough for 4750G under full load.

But from what you wrote, 4750G using less power than 2400G under full load, thin mean that A300 power brick should handle 4750G okay.

Using what hardware/software you measure watt consumption?
I have 2400G, with HWINFO64, on idle, CPU Package Power is about 5W, CPU Core Power(SV120TFN) is about 20W.

2 Questions:
- is an A300 / X300 : (APU) OK, for VR ?
- what is the difference of A300 and X300. Only UEFI? (that "renoir" supported) Or there are some hardware arguments to switch from A300 -> X300 ?

I use an external watt meter and just measure what the A300 power supply uses. Only when running graphic benchmark can I see a maximum of 90 watt. However, as soon as you do something CPU/memory intensive it goes down to 60-70 watt. With the 2400G and 3400G it was easy to get the box to use 90 watt by just stressing the CPU only.

I am very pleased with the A300 and the 4750G since it now uses much less power and delivers more then double the CPU power. Just the memory was a problem, but switching to the 3200 Kingston modules solved it. Running several VM's using lots of Ram and stressing the CPU it now is very stable.

You've got me convinced. Once the 4750g hits 300€ I'll probably nab one.

I am planning to upgrade RAM & CPU.
Currently, using 2400G and Corsair 2x8GB 2666Mhz OC to 3200Mhz.

Planning to upgrade to 4650G/4750G and 32GB RAM.

Any hints on RAM to use? There are only few brands that sell sodimm in my country, AData, Team & Corsair.

Single channerl 16GB 2666MHz Team RAM (even it was listed as supported RAM by Asrock), didn't run on A300 with 2400G.

Anyone here know if Adata Premier DDR4 SODIMM 16GB 3200MHz single channel is compatible with A300 & Ryzen 4650G/Ryzen4750G?

Bei einer Renoir APU und eine Auswahl von 32 GB PC3200 Speicher empfehlen wir die Corsair PC3000/3200 Module !

Look at post #1457, this RAM, Corsair Vengeance CMSX32GX4M2A3000C16, got problem with 4750G.

shop.jzelectronic.de wrote for A300 three hints:
1.1) * Diese APU (Renoir) unterstützt im DeskMini A300 nicht den S3-Mode (Energie sparen) !
1.2) Die Ryzen 7 Pro 4750G kann für einen stabilen 3D Betrieb zurzeit max. mit PC2666 eingestellt werden !
2.) Bei einer Renoir APU und eine Auswahl von 32 GB PC3200 Speicher empfehlen wir die Corsair PC3000/3200 Module !

shop.jzelectronic.de wrote for X300 two hints:

Source: X300

Conclusion:
1.1) Renoir+A300/X300 do not support S3-Mode.
1.2) Combination A300+4750G do not support more then 2666. No matter which ram brand you have.
2.) If u need 32GB "shop.jzelectronic.de" recommends "Corsair PC3000/3200 Module". No matter whether you have A300 or X300 and no matter which CPU you use.

I think we can trust "shop.jzelectronic.de" cause this guy wrote and test the newer Bios Versions !?
Also builds, sells these devices and guarantees.

Hej guys got my A300 some time ago and im still happy with it. Nevertheless now I am thinking about an upgrade. For 1080p Video editing and occasional gaming (mostly older ones). Problem also is that iGPU reservates a lot of RAM for internal graphics. I read about reducing this in BIOS is this worth it? I often have firefox and chrome opene with a lot of taps and reach the RAM limit.
Obiviously I am thinking about a RAM upgrade but maybe also CPU. Have you got any hints for me? Is it worth updating for 3400g? ´How much more Power graphicwise would i get in combination with faster Ram like the one above?

Crucial Ballistix TM 16GB Kit DDR4-3200 CL16 was recommend, its around 65 Euros
Does it work fullSpeed with Ryzen 2200g? What would be maximum Speed if it is not.
Thanks for your help, I appreciate it.

Current system :

Ryzen 3 2200g with stock CPU wraith stealth cooler
2x Samsung M471A5244CB0-CTD Arbeitsspeicher, 4 GB, DDR4, 2666 MHz CL 20
ADATA SSD 512GB XPG SX8200 Pro PCIe M.2 2280

If Renoir only support 2666, why should I buy 3000/3200 module?
