SFF.Network [SFF Network] Zotac Launches 10th Anniversary Products

10 years is a big number - not many companies, let alone tech companies, make it that far. ZOTAC is celebrating this birthday, however, and has launched a small range of products. These range from an updated VR Go backpack, to a watercooled GTX1080, all the way to a PCIe SSD.

The VR backpack seems well sorted ! The Magnus regretably still has dual power bricks (cheats ! hax !), would this still be needed with a GTX 1080 ? The color scheme suits it better in my opinion.

That's more like it ! Why didn't they just do this with the GTX 1080 they used in the Magnus EN1080, it's in the same power consumption range...

There's an EN1060 (6GB GTX 1060) and EN1070 (8GB GTX 1070) that are the same form factor as the ERX480, and use the same 180W power supply. Apparently these are all mobile (MXM-mounted even) binned versions, that'd put the 1060 at around 80W, a 1070 at around 120W (I'd assume the 480 around the same but I haven't seen any numbers) but a 1080 would be at least 150W - once you need a beefier power supply and better cooling, I guess they just took the next logical jump up (the i7-6700, has another 50W+ of heat they need to get rid of when it's turboing)
