I thought this would happen, thanks for confirming.
So basically there is no point putting the case horizontally then, it will fail each way.
It wont fail, you can use the sentry in a horizontal position, but the GPU will run a bit hotter and prob clock down 100mhz, your CPU will run a bit cooler, likely clock up a bit.

MSI releasing a RTX 3060 Ti Aero ITX card with 200 W power consumption. Looks like a great candidate for those that want a mini-sized card and be able to run an AIO.

It is a little taller than standard Nvidia height cards, like FE, and EVGA black, but I think it would still fit.

is there a list floating around of what 3080s and 6800 or 6800xt will fit this case?
2.5 slots will fit in this case, so standard 6800xt, but expect the fans to be right up against the grills, possibly touching, will be noisy.
6800 is a 2 slot in standard form, fits fine, nice and quiet.
Nvidia wise the EVGA XC3 is the one to go for, the 3080 and 3090 are 2.2 slots, so will fit and shouldnt be too loud.

Hey guys, I bought the new 5cm LINKUP PCIE 4.0 riser cable and managed to fit it into Sentry 2.0 properly. I can't find this kind of information anywhere on the internet thus sharing my experience so you guys are informed.

If you want to try this, you will need to cut off the PCB on one side and PCIE slot locking tab on the other side in order to allow the black sentry 2.0 riser piece to bite into the riser properly. Besides cutting, another major challenge is bending riser. Even at 5cm the riser is still too long and you'll need to bend and tuck away the excessive cable. I ended up bending it inwards so it doesn't touch side panel when I close it. Bending took me a lot of time.

I verified that I'm now able to enable PCIE 4.0 without problem. The main reason I did this is to avoid taking apart my wife's Velka 3 (trust me this is not fun) and borrow her graphics card every time I need to upgrade my bios, since I have a 5600x and bios updates are very frequent. This is definitely not ideal the new riser is much harder to take out or put back in, but it'll work till (hopefully) someday new sentry-compatible gen 4 riser card comes out.

I have taken some pictures for your reference:
can you build the motherboard and GPU outside the case and set to Get 3 first?

Once again - you don't need pci-e 4.0 riser yet for the GPU. It'll start making sense once the new games streaming a lot of data to the GPU directly from m.2 SSD through pci-e will come out, so this means PS5 and Unreal Engine 5 titles at this point.

Right now it's just 1~3 % difference in performance and buying riser based on this right now is simply bad idea because once those titles come out the riser that states 4.0 compatibility right now might cause issues with the actual reasonable use that is that data streaming in the titles that are not there yet. We are on the bleeding edge for the pci-e 4.0 risers right now and we don't know yet what future proofing actually means.
From the HC build, the bios wouldn't recognise the GPU with the Sentry riser, correct?

Has anyone tried to use internal wifi antennas in a Sentry? The ones that connect via u.fl or mhf4 directly to the wifi card and are stuck on by double sided tape.

I'm guessing the case itself would turn into too much of a Faraday cage to be of much use though. Just a thing that popped into my head after I travelled with my computer and forgot the antenna at home.

Finally got my build almost completed after 2 years of wait , thank you guys for your suggestions, thanks zombie and saber for this case :) . I just need to wait for some gpu availability(3070) to replace my 7950 , and reorganize some wires in my case ( can't screw one final spot to completely close the case ) . I will probably start to learn how to make custom cable for a nicer fit.
Thx all :) .

Finally finished my build .

The PCi 4.0 makes a HUGE difference.
With 3:0 I was getting disappointing 140-190 FPS on multiplayer Cold War with all settings on low in 1080p.

With 4.0 it was 240-350 FPS.

was using the linkup 5cm ones at first but then ran into problems

now using the Louque ones and no probs so far.

Something doesn't make sense with those numbers. There shouldn't be that big of a difference from 3.0 vs 4.0 even on low settings.
