Oh yeah it does. They posted a picture the other day of Luke cutting the end fins off of a Zotac 1080 Mini. They're just using a less elegant approach to get it in there. I guess having a virtually endless supply of hardware at your disposal takes the fear out of chopping up 750 dollar GPUs.

dang i am corrected then. I myself would never do that to a gtx 1080 mini. Maybe if a replacement shroud was cheapish i would.

weird question has anyone tried this https://www.arctic.ac/us_en/accelero-mono-plus.html with the s4 mini and a gpu. I wonder if i could use this instead and keep the front bezel for the s4 mini

Anyone know the exact size of the casing screws for the S4 mini for the outer panel? I lost one during a move I guess.

Hmmm... i didn't know someone could take Josh's S4 chassis and resell them in a pre-built PC? Well, I guess they can, or at least thay are https://www.dreamcore.com.sg/product/configure/

@Josh | NFC , did they strike a deal for a mass S4 Mini purchase from you or what?

Dreamcore is Legit. It's not my business to talk about how many they purchased, but the owner is a great guy and an early supporter and I really appreciate him. He is a member on these forums too. I'm amazingly happy that people use the MINI to base their business around...that is like a dream come true.

They are also the official distributor for the chassis in Singapore, as an FYI for any Singapore..eans...out there.

Thanks for asking!!!!

Update on the 300w HDPlex with the 1080ti...

I was able to use it to play Mass Effect Andromeda for about 20 hours and it held up right until the end, but near the end of the game it would crash as soon as the game loaded, unless I underclocked the card far below stock. Using normal clocks, the system would shut down. What was also very apparent is that the coil whine tone of the HDPlex had changed. So I think running right up around 300w for so long caused something on the PSU to actually degrade where the PSU's wattage capacity is permanently diminished. I didn't have this issue at all with the GTX 1080, so I'd recommend against pairing the HDPlex 300w with the 1080ti, seems like it's a bit too much. I did have a fan hitting on the HDPlex and the case is open, so it was being cooled decently.

Edit:

I think I have a new idea that I might try. Maybe I can use an HDPlex 160w PSU and dedicate that to the CPU/motherboard, and wire it in a dual-PSU configuration to the HDPlex 300w, so the 300w is dedicated to the GPU only.
