Hey @Smallform Gaming, do you know if there's a flat adapter like the 92mm to 120mm one you used on the Noctua heatsink for 80mm to 120mm? I may try to do your mod with this heatsink instead of the Noctua since it supposedly performs a fair amount better. (~15C lower according to one person's testing!)

There is... but I'd run tests on it first if you can because there is a lot of excess plastic. The 92mm works well for focusing the fan. This 80mm may work but this may also be too much. Maybe run some numbers then some of the plastic could be shaved off if it isn't a good result?

Thanks for the heads up! By "narrow-guage cable ties" you mean those black zip ties, right? I've got a few hanging around I can use.

Yup, just make sure they're narrow enough to fit through the fan mounting holes. My "of course I already have cable ties!" cable ties were too wide.

I'm looking to use the 160W internal HD Plex AC-DC unit and wanted to replace the DC power input hole on the back with a universal power plug cutout.

Yes they do. I'm pretty sure you can add the option to change the hole too. Either way I guess we will know for sure shortly.

GTX 1080ti announced tonight, they start selling in a week, ~35% faster than a GTX 1080, TDP of 220w (40 watts more then 1080, nothing the HDPlex can't handle), at MSRP of $699 for both Founders Edition and custom boards. The GTX 1080 has been dropped from $650 MSRP down to $500 accordingly.

35% more performance for 40% more money seems like a charity, I think people were expecting them to be priced much higher.

I'll probably be picking up a full size EVGA version and have it sticking out of my S4 like the dong extension it is...

Maybe. Haven't tested a Zotac 1070 MINI. If it is exactly the same length as the 1080 it would fit, but I think it might be a mm longer.

I could add a 9.6mm bezel...

After pouring 5 or so hours into some work on the S4 Mini, I vinyl wrapped the chassis in a carbon fiber material. It's my first time doing this, and I believe it turned out pretty good.

HOLY CRAP that 1080ti announcement. Welp... I can't believe I paid 720 for my 1080mini on Amazon from an overpriced seller, lol. Oh well, tis the price of early adopting and not waiting around for other online outlets like Newegg to list card at their actual prices.

At least now the 1080 prices will drop, and new S4 mini customers can get ZOTAC 1080mini for a lower price maybe once the price drops? The ZOTAC 1080 mini was already low enough for a custom PCB 1080 at $609 USD on Newegg... if it's price does go down to roughly $500 USD, then it'll be the perfect card for future proofing an S4 mini build, and a more affordable upgrade for those already owning an S4 mini. Which means @Josh | NFC should see a HUGE jump in customers and S4 mini orders, dude I'm so happy for you if this is the case.

It won't support the 8+6 pin configuration, but the Dynamo will. I'm hoping to have my first unit in by mid-March and if everything goes well may have it up for sale in May/June
