Cryorig C7 is loudy, if loudness is not a problem, better choose something like Scythe Big Shuriken 2 Rev. B, better performance, almost the same noise and space between socket and cooler for better airflow.

It depends on you tolerance level and the type of noise the fan generates, anyway 30db+ it's perceptible.

I run a C7 on my i5-7500 in a DAN A4, never notice it and it faces me the way I've got the case oriented. Maybe @wesbl is running a higher TDP CPU or had airflow issues with their case that had the fan working harder than it might have needed to.

I don't have a C7 in my current build, but your CPU has lower tdp than 8700K. Many people use aio for this CPU.
