Hello!

I bought a portable monitor with a battery and usb-c displayport alt mode. could it could power a mini PC like the framework mainboard? Would that put too much wear and tear on the battery? The battery has a one year warranty.

It would be so cool and affordable to just to stick a mini pc on the back of a monitor and call it a day.

Thank you if you have a chance to respond. If not, no worries!

Framework needs 20v 5a or 15v 3a or something, but will operate on lower voltage in an a limping eco mode.

Its probably very unlikely the monitor can do 20 or 15v. Actually just because it has dp alt mode does not mean it has pd output. (Same thing with PCs too)

So to summarize you have to find out
- does it have bidirectional pd?
- what pd mode does it support?
