Today I plugged for the first time my headphone jack in my newly build ncase M1 and when I do it the computer just turns off (the Bios settings are reset too)

MB: MSI B550i Gaming Edge (the rear panel audio works fine with no problem)

This is my very first build and I didn't find much info googling this.
Could it be a defect in the MB or the cable or my error plugging some cables? (USB 3 and USB C and power button are working fine in the front panel)

Thanks!

Most likely it's just not connected properly. Double check the HD-Audio header is plugged in to the correct header on the motherboard. Could be it's connected to motherboard speaker, USB, or sys power.
