Nice !! Can't wait to see that :)

I've experimented quite a bit with those flat heatpipes.

They work pretty well in my HTPC, replacing copper heatpipes :

Or even paired with a Zalman GPU Cooler :)

Lol all those builds of yours!
The two above are awesome!

Once in the prototyping stage I will for sure have questions about flat heatpipes. I will get back to you then. :p

Heh was about to start the thread right now but realized I forgot a render at home :\
This is going to be for later tonight, finally...

Well okay... here comes a little hint especially for you!

Woah !

One for the CPU with a 90° bend pipe, one for the GPU directly screwed ?

It's filling-loop time !

This is how it's done without a reservoir : using a syringe to completely fill the loop, with a lower hose diameter to let the air escape.

It's very quick and usually I get ride of most of the bubbles.

Considering that the waterblock, radiator, pump and pump top have been modified, I'm pretty glad the leak test was a success !

This is my prototype powered with a Hdplex 160W + Dynamo.
The GPU is a 1050 Ti KalmX, run passively to better evaluate the pump noise.

The pump run @ 1844 RPM @ 7V for my tests. I can definitely hear it.
The Noctua Fan remains silent until 60%.

After 30 min of XTU Bench, the i7 3920XM stabilizes around 70°C, 72° on the hottest core, running at 3590 Mhz:

This is not bad considerign that the waterblock doesn't even have a maze but it could be definitely improved.

Next steps : try a Koolance block instead and ask to the motherboard OEM if they can provide a BIOS allowing to OC the 3920XM.

And the guy risks is much loved hardware in leak testing with Sopalin (I think that's how you call household paper in France)! Don't lie, I see some left on top of the rad in the 2nd pic! ;)
Plus, you were certainly expecting a leak as you moved your prototype into the kitchen to fill the loop! (I see a toothbrush but the other tools must be for cooking)
Come on....! lol

You should invest in some cheap parts and air leak test safely instead:
https://www.overclock.net/forum/61-...-how-correctly-leak-test-your-loop-101-a.html

Apart from that, this tiny build is getting itself together very nicely, congrats! :thumb:

@Windfall
I've got one prototype left :) I'm not sure I will make a real production.

@BaK

Ahah ! With such a simple loop, there was no real risk here ;) but yes, I should try that method next time.
