Modeling Software

[SFF Scrub]

I'm fairly new to custom cases, but I'm ready to start my first project. What case modeling software would you guys recommend and where can I get it; it would also be nice to know how much it is.

Also due to me being new to modeling, what would you recommend for me to learn first; or just trial by fire?

Sketchup Make is free, and there are a bunch of models here in the resources section you can download and play around with. It's fairly easy to learn, and there are plenty of tutorials for it out there.

As other said, Sketchup is really good option. It will suit you well, as it is simple, but still powerful.

i just feel that sketch up quite complicated for me. i need to put effort to learn that

Sketchup is the easiest one of all that i know.

Best advice to learn it is to play with it. Try modeling a house using every tool, than move on something smaller and more precise. It is all in practice!
