SFF.Network Maximum PC is Dead

 
It’s official. As of April 2023, Maximum PC is dead.
Frankly, this one hurts to loose. Maximum PC started as Boot, and has been around since the 1990s. I can vividly recall the joy of reading them in throughout the early 2000s, and I still get them today. They had good tech articles, reviews, and I’ve always loved their annual Dream Machines even if I could only afford the Lean Machine. Dream Machine 2003 has always resonated with me, though I also loved their return to beige and Saturn V based rigs as well.

I actually picked one up in pretty good condition. It's a classic case. Bigger than I remember though.

I agree with Rev.. I have a subscription and just bought a friend one, very sorry to see it go. Nothing out there compares even if it has lost its edge in recent years.
Online has put another one in the ground.

I just got a notice from www.magazinesdirect on Maximum PC showing a July 2024 issue. Asking me to re-subscribe.
Is this bogus??????????????? @Revenant @akai21 RX 7800 GRE is one of the articles on the cover, and that was not out in April of 2023.

saw that before I posted yesterday still was skeptical.. partly because of the pricing difference.
Zinio 8.99 for 2 years but digital only. Magazines direct exclusive publisher 18.00 for one year.

In fact, paper copies are no longer an option and it can only be read on a IOS device not even a real Mac as the app will not work in the current OS.
