The ASUS H610 from ebay had pins broken off. They did refund me and I ordered a JW H610i-P for $80 on SuperBuy. I don't know what shipping is yet. Still waiting for them to remove the CMOS battery so I can pick a shipper. Its 701Grams in the box, so I hope $17-$22

Is that one of these? https://www.jwipc.com/products/power-graphics-h610i-p/

looks like it has an onboard power supply connection for >75w supply to the GPU…
Yes. If you find my build threads you can see I made a custom 6-pin to 8-pin cable for the 4060. It wasn't necessary, I also used a cheap "mining" 6 pin to 8 pin cable, but I had to manage the excess cable.

For a power brick I used a GaN Alienware 240w laptop brick and ordered a proper plug from AliExpress. It is happy to power the 4060 OC LP with a 12500t (35w). Tried many games, it's working well. My friend reports Half Life Alyx VR works well (on Rift S I believe).

The shipping from SuperBuy was around $24. I believe total cost was around $98 both times I ordered this motherboard.

New user ozkf is scouring aliexpress and managed to find another option.

It claims no turbo, but maybe it just means it can't hold turbo on 65w processors?
And only 120w for GPU power. But between the price savings of $10-20, the reduced hassle of just ordering from AliExpress and maybe using a lower power 3060 or RX6400 RX7600 GPU it might be good fit for a budget build. (I am seeing it for $78!?!)

The JW H610i-P is on AliExpress for a $40 markup over TaoBao + SuperBuy. But the reduced hassle may be worth it. Although $40 could potentially buy your PSU, or RAM, or SSD.

120W could run a 4060 even which would be better than those options!

You are correct, I guess I was misremembering due to the 6600/6650/7600 being $100 cheaper and compatible with Steam deck OS 😆 (Nvidia is not compatible). The PowerColor Fighter series is fairly small, that's what I was planning. (Maybe even a 7700)

Hi! Can somebody please help me to understand sizing of thin motherboards? Is it really 170x190 cm? I'm checking for JWIPC H610I-P model, for example. And as far I could see 170 cm will be on side with in/out ports (usb, hdmi, audio and so on...), so it will be on back case side, and side ones will be 190 cm.

And next thing is confused me regarding how such mobo will feat into this case with dimensions 183x200 mm? So it will feat for the front and back but there is no room on side, because mobo is longer for 7 cm, correct? And this case claimed for thin itx mobos:

Or there is some 170x170 thin motherboards? I saw this case is claimed for 170x170 thin mobo.

Now I get it, it will not work with this mobo. There is a thin 170x170 mobos on market.
I'm looking for mobo to use with i3 12300T and rtx 4060 lp. As I saw, most of these 170x170 cm boards contain 4 pin pcie, so can somebody clarify if I could plug 8-pin GPU into this 4 pin port?

It seems like these mobos do not support dGPUs at all, is it correct?
Most do not. Let me measure my H610i-P. Edit: PCB is 190mm, and the IO (HDMI, LAN, USB, Power jack) protrude 1.5mm. audio jacks 4mm.

Possibly this case: https://www.aliexpress.us/item/3256806769991656.html

I was experimenting with a double back riser in .05M length, which would bring the card in 35mm by raising the connector over the M.2 drives. But it was $20+ and only supporting PCIe 3.0 in my tests (of course quality may vary). https://www.aliexpress.us/item/3256802545196290.html

Thanks a lot. I started to thinking about usual ITX 17x17 cm board with some port modifications in order to make it thinner.

Acer Veriton N4630G is an interesting setup. I have only a motherboard from one and apparently it is a PIO setup but the case has a cover over the (x1) slot (Edit: looking again the slot in the case seems full size). Possibly it uses an extension of the case to hold any card that fits in.

https://www.ebay.com/itm/294722826289 (made an offer of $15, we will see what happens.)

I would gladly modify my eGPU enclosure and bolt it on this case 🤣

Edit again: Veriton L410,L480, dimensions 200mm 250mm 60mm. Maybe? https://www.ebay.com/itm/285287056365

this could work, in case of motherboard standoffs could be removed as I assume they located to feat 17x17cm mobo
The motherboard standoffs are all in the same location as regular ITX (and ATX, Micro ATX for that matter). The difference is an extra 20mm hanging out the front past the screw holes.

MSI Creator P50 (<5L) seems to have a PIO motherboard. Possibly a Clevo style DC power plug? At over $1,000 not great. But maybe a used one comes up? In SF CA Craigslist there is a 12400f and RTX3050 for $400. Good thing I'm not closer as I'd get it, flip the GPU in another build and try to shoehorn a Fighter RX7700 in there 🤣

https://www.benchmark.pl/testy_i_re...-msi-modern-md2711c-recenzja-test-opinia.html

Edit: the chassis has absolutely unbelievable amounts of wasted space, it could have internal power or sub 4L easily. Even with something as low effort as ditching the plastic casing and spray painting the internal metal case.

I notice that it claims 14th gen support, something missing from the JW motherboard description. I have not tested this in my JW because I didn't want E cores anyway, and all I had was a 14700 that I was building for a friend.
I put a 14700 (non-k) in my JW H610 and it booted. Shows as '14700' in BIOS:
