So first impressions on the L7Z:
  • amazing packaging
  • excellent assembly instructions (it is not a traditional case that is already built when you get it, for obvious reasons)
  • simple but really solid once complete
  • nice customization options
  • it is sooo small, I can put in my carry on luggage and still have plenty of room and weight!
Now about temperatures with the Noctua NH-L12 and Prolimatech 140mm.

GPU Full Load, CPU Max Freq:

I think the pictures speak for themselves :D

Thanks K888D!

Very nice build. I am doing a new build in one of Fire's MI-6 cases as soon as they get built and the Noctua is the cooler I am planning on using. Nice to see it works so well with only the 92mm fan, that is the kind of information that I needed.

nice build, the vents cuts for vga/mobo intake are kinda original, is that available in the site?

also, the use of clear acrylic for the sides is very original to showcase your vga

I will try it but it is not my priority at the moment. The system performs already incredibly well and the L7Z case gave me what I was looking for a very nice portable workstation!

Thanks for posting your temperature results, hope you don't mind but I've linked your images below so they can be seen better.

looking at those fan RPM's, I presume FANIN1 is your CPU and FANIN2 is the Prolimatech Vortex 14 Case Fan? If so those RPM's look like they are running at 100% speed, do you have your fans set to constant full power even for idle?

CPU FULL LOAD 16 THREADS
51C Max!! The Ryzen 1700 really must be a good match for the NH-L12, it seems the Ryzen 1700's run about 10C cooler than Intel i7 65w CPU's.

How long had you been running this test for before seeing these temps?

You've seen my temperatures after hours of stress ;)

1700 is the most efficient Ryzen and can surpass 1800X at lower frequencies.
You have also to consider that Intel has problems with the TIM, a lot of people are delidding...
