Add your own MXM GPU eGPU Dock. Supports Thunderbolt 3, PD and Occulink if I am reading it correctly.

Seems pretty sweet, Only 137*110*67mm (Edit, according to AliExpress this is wrong, they have a metric tape measure held to the new enclosure). Includes enclosure and a heatsink/fan for $200.

or AliExpress with a hefty markup: https://www.aliexpress.com/i/3256805659521169.html

If this is $250 or less shipped, and the RTX 3080 is around $350 or less. That is $600 total and it is giving a lot of other docks a run for their money. The GPD dock for example is around $572 and is only a 7600M XT with 8GB.

I am not sure if the cover fits over the Clevo style MXM cards that hang off the right side. The Clevo 3080 is a 165w card with about 3070 desktop levels of compute. The 1070 MXM is oddly more powerful than a Desktop 1070.

Seems the PCB has 3x Displayport and an HDMI. Only Thunderbolt, not Occulink. There seems to be 2 models and they aren't selling the smaller Occulink model right now?

Cards I have on hand to put in it:
P4000 8GB,
1070 ZOTAC
1070 Clevo
3080 16GB Clevo (Still currently $350 OBO)

Option I don't have:
The P5000 16GB card is $300 OBO. (Basically a Quadro as fast as a Desktop 1070, but extra VRAM)

Looks super interesting! I just picked up a PCIe-MXM adapter - The sideways one pictured in their store (but from Ebay).
I'll look forward to your compatibility tests!!

Not this month 😅, maybe I will order it later. The case is aluminum casting? Not sure. Looks neat though.

Would love the circuit board by itself so I could use a Clevo Heatsink and make flatter final product 😆.

I'm interested in the MXM adapter too. But the cheapest I see is $76 on TaoBao, which is tough to support when I get a whole Clevo Socket 1151 motherboard for $25.
