Wow. I wonder how much the pricing will be reduced. Microcenter still has 100 off on motherboards with a 1700x and 1800x. 50 off boards on the rest. Also the 1600 is 199.00 there now so a steal as it is!

No I do not work there but I would even if I was just paid in hardware!

Not much as far as I can tell, the cheapo 1700 I got at launch is still cheaper than Amazons current listing, if only because of £4 postage.

I live 15 minutes from the Microcenter in VA and I love being ablt to snag these awesome deals! I want to get a R5 1600 but If the cut the R7s and then I can still get $100 off a mobo, I might as well just upgrade (assuming MC doesn't further drop the price of the 1600). Also, I've talked with the employees and the pay is crap and you only get 5% off stuff, and no % if it's brand new.

About 20 mins away from the one here in Cincinnati OH. Spend a lot of cash there for my builds and building for others.

I have a few reps I deal with a lot there but never really asked about employee discounts/perks. Too bad as it seems like it would be better for them. I used to get 30% off back in the day at the music store I worked at during college breaks.

Love the open box stuff. They will still combo an open box mobo if you ask too which is pretty sweet.

The kicker for ASRock and Gigabyte would be their prices. With Biostar sitting at $109 it might be cheaper to just slap a usb wifi adapter instead of shelling out the extra. I'm really, really hoping ASRock won't charge more than $129 for their B350.

Ryzen price cut is also explained by very good production yield...something new i guess for AMD and global foundries..:) Samsung is one of the major reason of Ryzen success..:)

I think I read somewhere here recently (Toms...?) that the ASRock X370 ITX MB would be going for around US$140 to US$160, so I would think maybe US$130 would be the high end for the ASRock AB350 ITX MB...

Kinda hoping Asus & MSI will come out with some AM4 ITX love at some point as well, the more choices the better...?

Competition works like that up to a point. Given that they would be serving different niches in the market, basically a few players are still better than 1 or 2 that can jack the price up.

too bad that the gigabyte still doesnt have a price tag, it would make things considerably easier.

But if things keep going well like that, I believe that Asus and MSI would launch a premium and cheaper mitx in the future.

They saw the demand that exists by those biostar mobos and the market for SFF is a growing one. Most of the news headlined that came from computex was related to that to some extent, with either chassis or entire pcs, or even entire pcs that are part of something incredibly awesome and stupid at the same time

I agree that the ASRock mobo is the best bet currently. I'm quite annoyed that the Gigabyte option doesn't seem to have optical audio.

FUTURE edit: in case anyone is interested I changed my mind and went for the Gigabyte one, mainly on the basis of no USB 3.1, less lighting options, less USB ports, and the cover plate is stylised in a way I don't like.

Has ASrock confirmed they will also put out a B350 Mobo? Will it still be the fatality brand or something different?

It's on the back. You can see the thread holes to the left of the chipset heat sink.

I believe you're correct. The B350 chipset only has 2x USB 3.0 but the board has 6x so it may be a third party chipset while the X370 is native?

So, am I missing something or is there no difference between this and the X370?

The B350 has 2x USB 3.1 gen 2 (10gpbs), 6x USB 3.1 (5gpbs), 6x USB 2.0
The x370 has 6x USB 3.1 gen 2 (10gpbs), 10x USB 3.1 (5gpbs), 6x USB 2.0

The difference lies in the sata connections for the mitx form factor

A Ryzen CPU is a SOC and the SATA is already connected directly to it, meaning there are 2x SATA 3 and 1x NVME pcie 3 x4

However the CPU cant provide all of that, meaning if a nvme drive and sata is occupied the nvme will drop to pcie 3 x2

So a B350 offers 2 more sata, however if all 4 are used your nvme will be dropped to x2

A X370 offers 4 more sata, however if all 6 are used your nvme will be dropped to x2

Basically pay attention to the mobo manual to check what are the sata ports that you want to use, so that your nvme isnt affected

Ah, I forgot some USB are off the CPU.

So I guess the SATA like you mentioned and the X370 could potentially do bifurcation are the only differences.
