Hello,
recently I snipped the DVi port of on my Zotac 1080 ti Mini, but sadly damaged the card.
So this thread will be a how to repair your GPU thread – hopefully!
In the prozess of cutting the DVI port i hit one of the caps and chipped one of the resistors on the backside of the card.
After some reseach i found a matching cap and ordered it.
Some days later it was solder-time. What a fiddly work, but yes I get it! Succsess!!
[Pics of the new Cap and how to solder that thing following soon ]
So on to the next challenge - the resistor
Sadly I never found that lost resistor from the GPU again, so does anyone here have a 1080 ti Mini and is willing to check the electrical resistance of that resistor (as shown in the pic)?
That's where the project stops at the moment.
best regards
Jay
