I really searched everywhere but I could not find the AM4 mounting brackets for my 280mm AIO. Now what to do... I could make some new brackets, or... just change the complete CPU head! Anyway that old one was crap...

there is only one little problem: how to refill the AIO?

taking apart the ENERMAX pump/head I had an idea...

but first: getting rid of the old pump...

and replacing it with the one from ENERMAX I had laying around:

now comes the fun part: re-filling the AIO...

in order to do so the pump should be placed at a higher position than the rad and turned on with a 12VDC power supply. air will move upwards and you can start to top up coolant until the pump is running smooth / the loop is completely filled. last but not least comes the messy part where you have to get the coldplate back on...

coolant went literally everywhere... so before testing the "new AIO" it is a good idea to open up the head and clean up the mess inside (air gun helps a lot) ...

... to be continued after I've let it dry for some days ...
