I'm probably reading this wrong and it needs updating
But it does look like even 2080tis have been loosing performance

I'm in the same boat. Another concern of mine is, 645LT's 90 degree tube will obstruct RTX 3080 founder edition.

Me three. There was about 275mm of clearance for GPU length with the 90 degree bends, however that is from the PCB interfering. Since the new PCB itself is so small, there is a possibility that the cooler is lower than the backplate; the EVGA 3080 picture in the main thread has that look.

I also wonder what impact reversing the PSU will have on the radiator performance. Currently the heat tends to vent out the sides above the rad or rise between backplate and the PSU, maybe the fan being inward will improve the exhaust overall.

I’ve just been fiddling with trying to get my PSU reversed in preparation. Trouble is, with the connectors on the SF750 in a different orientation they interfere with the tubing for the 645LT...

That doesn't bode well for me, a fellow Dan case owner looking to get a 3080.

Hellow mentioned we should also consider getting a PCIe 4.0 riser to cover all bases. My motherboard (ROG STRIX Z390-1) doesn't support 4.0 so I guess I'm SOL on that front. I may have to settle with the 3080 for a long while, the other components of my build would have to get replaced if I buy the next big GPU.

I'm working on the assumption that a PCIe 3.0 motherboard (B450 in my case) means that a PCIe 3.0 riser will be fine. I *think* the riser is only a concern if the card and MB can do PCIe 4.0...

Do you think 645LT will further rule out some of these options because radiator's 90 degree tube?
With 2070 super it already seems to be close to the bend, I feel 3080 is for sure longer than the current gap between the end of 2070s and the 90 degree bend.

Yeah this is what I'm concerned about. I'm sure someone will try to make it fit soon.

Rotate PSU? Can you elaborate or is this something I ought to already understand.

e: Sorry I didn't read your earlier post in this thread. I might do this if it fits with the 645LT as well.

The EVGA RTX 3080 XC3 is 285mm in length but the PCB and back-plate is shorter than the cooler as shown here so there's hope!
I believe it might fit with this shorter PCB (I measured ~278mm of clearance) but I'm not sure if the cooler would still hit the 90 degree tube.

Worst case I plan to unscrew the 2 screws of the rad closest to the front of the case, remove the front USB connector and bracket, then slide the fan+rad forwards slightly to make room for the GPU. The tight fit between the PSU cables and the fan should keep the cooling assembly in place, or some strong double sided tape... ?

After doing some reasearch, I think there's a solution for the Asetek 645LT + Longer GPUs -- it's to use part of the losercard mod to lift the position of the riser. Main downside of doing this is it reduces GPU height, and blocks one of the IO ports on the GPU, but I don't need all 4 video IO ports on a GPU anyway, and neither the XC3 or the 3080 FE have a height big enough for that to matter.

The full losercard mod modifies way more than just the GPU height position, but for the purposes of fitting the 3080 FE or XC3, I think just the riser and PCIE bracket 3D models would be used to lift the GPU height.

will the 3080 fit in a corsair Icue 220T?
That'd be considered off-topic for this thread. You may receive more comprehensive replies if you were to post a thread about it in the appropriate forum. Just from looking at the case though I'd imagine there wouldn't be an issue. Although it's completely dependent on the build's setup.

I found more pics of the PCB vs cooler, and it looks like there's definitely extra clearance there:

By my calculations, the PCB is only ~265mm long, and the "Black Gaming" version of the card doesn't have the full backplate, so that might help too.

I wish I knew if the XC3 or the FE had better temperatures in the Dan A4, so I knew which one to try to purchase on release date

Looking to grab the EVGA Black or Ultra. If both fit fine, is there a reason to go 1 over the other?
