Sadly, I think I am stopping this build as I don't see it fitting into my use case: using a full custom loop to water-cool an RTX 3090 and 5800x. The temps I was seeing while benchmarking and mining ETH have deterred me from venturing further.

I'm stopping for two reasons: a) I hope to recoup as much of the cost of the case as possible and want to prevent further scuffs to a future buyer and b) for my aesthetic, the Louqe Raw S1 presents a more unique look and build experience.

I have on order the following cases to go with the parts I have available:

  • Sliger SV540 (3090 water-cooled build - it fits a 280mm radiator)
  • Louqe Raw S1 (6900xt air-cooled build)
I apologise for those looking for more pics and updates. The Mjolnir is a fine and very well-built case but it is perhaps best designed for GPUs with lower power draws than the 3090 and 6900xt - at least for my comfort level.

Yeah I'm going to be using a watercooled 3080 ti and 5950x in my mjolnir when I get it, but im also hooking it up to two external 240mm radiators plus 1 240mm inside the case. There's no other way to support that kind of hardware in this case besides modding the side panels.

This must be weirdest build log I have ever seen... Have you built a computer before?

These temps were recorded using HWInfo64 7.02 and running Phoenix Miner 5.5c on the 6900xt, two Noctua fans were installed as intake on the bottom panel. I'm aware mining ETH is an extreme-yet-common-and-divisive usage scenario for ITX builds but to each their own, I game on my builds (one for home, one for the office) and at other times they are put to use mining.

I am more familiar using MSI Afterburner and RTX cards, so for AMD cards I just use the stock Radeon software for a relatively mild oc. Anyway, the temps I recorded are telling, and its enough to convince me I need something a little bigger that can fit a 240 or 280mm radiator with two fans.

The results are by no means empirical, indeed I forgot to record idle temps with a mild OC on the GPU. Once I saw these temps with the 6900xt and the 5600x set to ECO, I knew this case just wouldn't work for me as much as I love the build quality and aesthetics. Just as a side note, daytime temperatures in Hong Kong are currently hovering around 30-32C. The AC is on keeping the house a steady 24-25C ambient.
