Please note that the DC in plug should ONLY be plugged into the pigtail dongle 4 pin Molex adapter on these units (ie the one attached to the PCB by wires). While it does technically fit, plugging it into the clearly marked PCIe or CPU output headers will fry your DC-DC adapter at the very least (and apparently also your motherboard).
This has only happened once, but let it be known that if this happens I am uncertain that I will honour warranty. I feel that this is a matter of user error (ie. not reading etc.) and not one of product quality or function. I will be sending out an email to all purchasers of the Dynamo Mini to ensure that this is clear to all of you who already own a unit. In an effort to make correct use clearer I will be releasing full documentation (courtesy of the brilliant @QinX) in the next week or two.
