Discussion Does a case for eGPU via M.2 exist?

Title says it all.

Trying not to use TB for the eGPU because M.2 seems better concerning latency. But the thing has to be portable.

Depends what you mean.

Do you mean a gpu enclosure only, but with exposed m2 instead of TB? Afaik, No one has done this, because m2 is not plug and play. We need a detachable m2 cable for this to work, not a pcb that has to be screwed in. Currently, anyone wishing to maintain the egpu's portability will adapt their m2 to thunderbolt for the ease of that connector.

Im hoping for a stx case with a way for an egpu "sister case" to snap-into it with pass through for m2 cable. Basically the cases are designed to fit together but are sold separately. The goal being to buy the sister case once you finally nab a gpu, as a semi permanent expansion.
