@dondan Bought it right away as I still was on top of a wind turbine 😂 Hammered F5 and forced my mate to do a little break since the searchindex from Caseking was not refreshing! Definitely remember that! One question: Will a Deepcool LS520 fit?

Would be very interested to know what you come up with because I’m also thinking of preordering the 850R. I like that it’s SFX and has a low noise rating, despite the 12VH cable being 450w not 600w like some of the SFXL units, this is still plenty for a 4090FE (in my case).

should be fine I think, I ran a 6950XT with a 12700k on a SF750 no problems. I know some people are using a 4090 with one.
Ah that's good to know, thank you !!

Thank you! I will stick with the SF750 then. Seems like such a good little PSU 🙂
I would. I’m annoyed at myself because I sold one earlier in the year for cheap, now I’m trying to find another only to see they essentially don’t exist anymore. Ho hum!

corsairs SFXL replacements look to have some benefits but it’s a shame they won’t offer a SFX unit, even if it was a 750w variant v3.0

See LTT video, as there is a new Coolermaster PSUs that are SFX and higher wattage. Personally, I like Corsair, as I have a RM750x in my ATX current build, but will get whatever SFX PSU with enough headroom that is available. My Dan C4 was immediately shipped by Caseking so it should arrive by the end of next week 🥳 I have followed this thread for exactly 3 years, as I made an account in SFF Network specifically for it on May 18, 2020! I think it is worth the wait!

PCPartPicker estimates my build at 629W. I'm using a 7900x but will put it in eco mode, which drops it from 170w to 65w. Will an SF750 be solid for the majority of this build, even if I have to unlock the cpu? Or should I aim for an 850w?

what’s the GPU?

I ran a 12700k and a 6950xt with a SF750 and I wouldn’t say either were particularly efficient with power draw…

should be OK IMO unless it’s a very overclocked or power hungry model (mine was a reference card which helped a little). I think it’s worth trying if you already own the SF750.
I don't own the SF750 yet. I'm waiting on my C4 and heatsink/fans to arrive, then I'll buy all the silicon components. I can either buy something at Microcenter or online, knowing I'll have to wait a few days for online (but can delay my MC purchase until it arrives). I know the SF750 is highly regarded, and I have an SF600 in my Ncase, which is doing just fine. I just haven't kept up on the best PSUs out there.

It’s a bit of a minefield with SFX PSU’s! There is quite a few new releases but they all seem to have their own drawbacks or issues…

Will the MSI B650I EDGE WIFI and the D12L fit the case without issues? And what is the maximum RAM clearance to fit a second fan on the Noctua?

So you use the same components, right? (Here a List of my components: https://www.hardwareluxx.de/community/threads/dan-c4-sfx.1263868/post-29916843)
I don't have issues right now, I tuned the fan curve for the GPU so with benchmarking the fans only run at 1600-1800rpm and the GPU Temp is between 70°C and 74°C and it is nearly quite :)
CPU and the Case Fan go to 100% while benchmarking, but 100% is quite enough for me. You hear the fan a little bit, but it is ok and if you use a headset you don't hear anything.

The hardware is eerily similar :D
  • ASUS ROG STRIX B650E-I GAMING WIFI - check
  • AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D - check
  • Noctua D12L - check
  • 2x 2TB Kingston KC3000 - half checked, the 2TB KC3000 is the system SSD, supported by a Crucial P3 4TB as secondary drive.
  • Sapphire Nitro+ 7900 XTX - check
  • Corsair SF1000L (wird vermutlich durch ein SF750 ersetzt wenn lieferbar) - kinda checked, I already have the SF750
  • Und einen Arctic P14 PWM PST - nö, currently no additional fans. Though I might deshroud the GPU and maybe add 1-2 additional fans to keep the case cooler overall. Also Noctua, cause I'm a Marketingopfer :D

Nice build and nearly the same :)
I was wondering a little bit about my CPU Temps while I was running cinebench r23 my temperature rises instantly to 89°C and all cores get a clockspeed from 4800-4825MHz. Thats new for me (My build before was a i7 2600k with a 970Ti and 16GB RAM) and I have to read more about it, if this behaviour is normal or did I make a mistake while building the system.

pretty sure that’s normal for ryzen 7000, it gets to its maximum temperature under all core load and stay there, it’s designed to.

Mine arrived today as well (Denmark, ordered from Caseking on Wednesday, express shipping). With a 336mm RTX 4090 (INNO3D X3) it was a bit of a squeeze. Had to shave off a bit of the plastic on the USB-C connector as the graphics card was pushing on it. Actually getting the card into position in the case was probably the most tricky bit. Routed the USB-C cable behind the front cover as well.

Moved the power socket to the lower position.

Two 120x15mm fans fit just fine above the graphics card. Really good instruction manual, but it is not a build for a novice (which SFF systems are?). Using an SFX-L PSU there is very little room for cables between the PSU and the back side of the graphics card - however, plenty of room for stashing away power cables elsewhere in the case.

Asus B660-I with i7-12700K, 64GB DDR5, Noctua NH-D12L, Asus Loki 850W SFX-L & INNO3D RTX 4090 X3.

Now for OS installation and some testing.

Can't say it works like that for me. I've run the 3DMark CPU thing, which got the CPU to 90% load and I still couldn't hear the cooler. Don't remember the actual temps, tho.

Edit: Also, my C4-SFX came :D
