Fyi:
I just built in the c4 and the arctic 280 liquid freezer ii fits.
Barely.
And with the x870i Asus mobo.

Because the mobo is mounted upside down, you need to install the bracket correctly but the coldplate inverted.
You also need to plan cable management very carefully.
Thanks for posting this - I have an X870I and a C4-SFX so now I know which 280 I can use :)

re: v2 - looks to me like a slightly shorter Meshroom D, but without the ability to house an mATX board. and also without a vented front panel. The only advantage over cases like the Meshroom D or Ncase M2 is (hopefully) going to be better availablity in Europe.

and yeah, as D90 already said, almost no changes to the v1, too. Except for the "it's now below 14l". But at least it's finally somewhat there.

and might as well soon be gone again. 🤷‍♀️

It is 1L smaller than Meshroom D, does allow for longer and thicker GPUs. The Meshroom only does support mATX with the extansion kit that does results in ~ 16L volume.

This.. The unfortunate situation with Meshroom is that mATX support takes up the space at the front where the fans (or AIO radiator) usually sit.

exactly. THERE IS AN OPTION FOR MATX for the Meshroom D. despite its unfortunate / halfway done concept.

Alas, my interest in "as much GPU space as possible" cases has long been a thing of the past. But to add to the absurdity - Let's try this instead: Jonsbo NAS-like case, that gets just 40 mm of cpu cooling height, flex-atx PSU, but maximizes the GPU space to 400 mm length, 5 slots height, and 170 mm width. Eg. 14 x 42 x 20 cm.

Overall design looks ok and the I/O relocation makes sense. My only reservation is room for cabling - v1 was already pretty tight, especially using a 280mm AIO and SFX-L. I'm wary that smaller means higher outlay or more complexity by requiring custom cabling.

Do you have more feedback for me on C4-SFXv2?
The air-tunnel thing seems of questionable benefit to me: wouldn't some hot air get trapped around the VRM?

In my opinion, back-to-front airflow with a side fan exhausting hot air from both CPU and GPU would be a better idea. Bonus points for removing the rear grill altogether, since a standalone one could be better for both noise and performance.

And a few questions, if I may:

1. Is there a way to use the case in the classic, non-inverted layout?

2. Are there going to be solid and/or glass panels available as an option?

3. What is the front-panel USB bandwidth?

4. Still no steel threaded inserts? :/

Steel inserts? For what?

Going by the v1, solid sides would compromise cooling very significantly. I dont think a "classic" layout would work as well either.

To minimize the risk of thread stripping. The NCASE M1 has had those since 2019.

Maybe not completely solid, but with reduced perforation surface instead? Personally, I'd rather have less cooling than more dust and noise (coil whine is a thing). As for the classic layout, it seems to work just fine for the overwhelming majority of PC cases out there.
