Cryorig C7 vs. Noctua L9i (with and without fan duct)

Is anyone else having issues mounting a noctua fan onto the Cryorig C7 Cu? I made the adapter but with my noctua fan on top it basically hits the side panel and though I can close it, it appears to pop off after awhile.

Thank you very much for providing the SVGs to all of us @marcv81!

I'm curious, where did you order yours?
Judging from the pics they look really nice and I'm still looking for a shop online, where I could order them for my upcoming build...

I did not order online: there is a shop not far away from where I live. I picked it up, so USD 15 does not include shipping. I don't know the usual prices online, but I can't imagine it to be much more expensive. If you can wait I expect there are cheap places in Shenzhen too.

So I've a Zaber Sentry (ROG X470-i) build with a 2700 and a C7 Cu (with TG Kryonaut). While the C7 Cu is a great cooler, the fan is a pain when it kicks into high RPM. So, I got a used Noctua L9a cooler (for about the same money as a new NF-A9x14) because it comes with the 2500 rpm fan; if you buy the fan from Noctua, they gimp it down to 2200 rpm.

So, I ran Prime95 on the C7 Cu for 30 minutes with both fans and the results are interesting. The 2700 was clocked @ 3.6 GHz with a 1.15 Core voltage value.

The max temperatures I got were as follows:

- C7 Cu with stock fan (2500rpm): 91.2 C
- C7 Cu with Noctua fan (2500rpm): 85.0 C

Wasn't expecting the Noctua fan to get me better cooling results AND less noise.

I'm planning of trying 3 more enhancements:

1) Liquid metal (Conductonaut)
2) Fan duct for the Noctua fan
3) Additional NF-A4x10 (the 12V one) above the NVME

I hope these'll help shave off another 5 degrees or so; I'd hope a little more but 5 C would be great.

Anybody planning to use the C7 Cu with a Noctua fan inside a SFF build, try finding the 2500 rpm option if possible. It's worth it.

On the topic of the "fan duct", got one installed today and re-ran Prime95 on my 2700 @ 3.6 GHz, 1.15V for 40 minutes at the same settings (C7 Cu + Noctua 2500rpm fan). CPU temps peaked at 86.0 C so 1 degree higher than without the duct :) However, under bursty load conditions, I see the system cools down a lot faster than before the duct.

Could the Noctua L9i with a NF-A9x25 PWM fan act like the duct while also pushing higher CFMs? It would theoretically fit based on max CPU cooler size of 48mm. Has anyone tried this? looking to get this wonderful case.

Frustrating finding the higher speed fan version of Noctua.

I'm running the Cryorig C7 CU with a Noctua A9x14 Retail fan.
9900k, Prime 95 @ 3600 ghz hitting Max 88 Degrees

With the Stock Cryorig C7 Fan I hit Max 86 Degrees @ 3600 ghz, and 93 Max @ 3800 ghz.

Going to try the Thermalright 100 mm fan next. Also have Two NF A4x10 FLX fans I'm going to mount.

Sorry.. was just wondering if a t318 with noctua 9x14 will be a better combi than the c7 cu?

Am looking for a sub 50mm cooler for a 4.7L itx case..

Were those max temps horizontal or vertical?
