I did a custom water cooling for my open air pc just over a year ago and went with clear coolant because I read that color pigments can clog a water block & radiator over time & I just didn't want to deal with yearly flushing my system. Sooooo looking at my res is pretty blah 🥴 clear coolant isn't really enticing to look at. Sure would look nice with a bit of color swirling around.

I've seen some coolant that have pigment in it and swirls around in the res, looks really nice, kinda mesmerizing. Has anyone developed one that doesn't clog your water block & radiator? I think the answer is probably still no but need to ask.

Thanks for reading my post.

From experience, I've only used the Cryofuel White coolant when not using distilled, I've only had block clogs, never rad. In saying that, I did run the coolant for over a year before servicing, and the blocks affected were cheaper Byski units.

I went with Alphacool all the way, used their clear coolant. I've been looking into it more & doesn't look like any mfg has remedied the issue. It's a fluid with colored particles running through out, I don't see how they can change the viscosity. The best they have come up with is a water color additive that changes the clear coolant to a color. I spend to much money on my system to tear it apart every year & try to clear out the gunk, not going there.

Thanks for responding.
