Hey everyone! I'm working on a case project, among other things, and I was wondering if anyone could bring up the pro's and cons with using mod-cubes (such as Monolith) or 3D printed edges (such as LZ7). I do plan on using Acrylic panels

I'm unaware of any negatives on using those cubes.

I find them great, actually.

You might want to add to your list the 3D corners that @Thehack designed.

The Pro's of using 3D printed edges:

• Zero upfront investment costs other than your design time
• quick prototype turnaround times
• unlimited design possibilities

The Cons:

• Expensive per piece part prices

Oh wow! Glad to have your input Yeah my first design was ~ $10 an edge. Revisions ensued.

I did 3D print and tap some Mod Cubes, using my personal printer, and they do seem incredibly useful. They best serve a different aesthetic than my original vision, however.

I'll do some comparison renders at some point.
