Hi all

New build, following specs

MB - ASUS Maximus Impact VIII
CPU - Intel 6700K
RAM - 16Gb
SSD - Samsung 850 500GB
GPU - GeForce 1050 Ti

If I connect the Athena PSU to the build I cannot get the system to post. If I connect my spare ATX PSU its fine and if I connect the Athena to my old desktop its fine????

Is there BOIS settings stopping the PSU from powering up or am I up for a new PSU?

Cheers

Dan

I'd throw the Athena in the trash regardless. It's a crap tier psu.

Is the cpu eps connected? The only thing I can imagine is since this is a high end motherboard it won't boot without the 8 pin.

I have been testing with both the 4 pin and 8 pin and it doesn't post with either. The PSU I have running the PC at the moment only has a 4 pin and its running fine.

It does seem like the MB does not like the PSU for whatever reason
