Anyone tested 4000 Series APUs on this board?

Edit: Nah. Okay I will. But first, I need to wait new BIOS chips for backup. Than try to hack BIOS for 4000 and than 5000 series (Zen3) APUs...

It looks like you just tried before me...
I am still waiting my BIOS chips for being safe...
But I think it's safe since you allready trie, without bricking your board...
I wonder that, if RGB continue to work proper?
Any other issue you have?
Thanks

I don't have any RGB so I couldn't tell you if it worked. All the USB and I/O work fine. Other than the usual Asrock BIOS bugs, the only thing i've noticed different from others who have tried this is that my board can no longer see my CPU temp. BIOS reads "N/A", HWinfo reads 40c, and Asrock mobo software reads 32c. So if using a fan curve based on temp, it will just stay at the same speed. In HWinfo, the CPU can see its own temp though, so boosting behavior is unchanged.

Other people who have done B350->B450 on other AsRock motherboards do not report this problem. If you do end up trying, let me know if it affects you. If it doesn't, maybe my flash was bad and I'll do a reflash. That's solved BIOS bugs for me in the past...

AsRock has experimental BIOSes out for Vermeer support. It appears they are 1.1.0.0 Patch C

Well, This Beta bios (6.61) clearly doesn't boot up my new Ryzen 5700g even if it has Cezenne support in it.
My board need to cross-flash too for try...

Edit: I did. Flashed into 450 ITX/AC v4.2 which has 5000 Series APU support and also with v4.5 which has AGESA 1.2.0.2...
GOT POST with Ryzen 1700 but... BIOS does NOT POST with 5700G
Probably AMD add some other countermeasures into 5700G chip to recognize MB. Or simply my MB is broken due some electric fault due overvoltge on USB port (I repaired before)..
Who knows.

Hello, does anyone have problems with the wifi antenna of this board? I noticed a difference if I keep it close to the connectors behind the board rather than 30 cm away from it. Still though the reception isnt ideal and I can mostly get 2.4ghz instead of 5ghz frequency.

Im not sure if is worth upgrading the wifi module or new antennas fix this problem.... anyone knows something about it?

@EUA - I've already confirmed the 5600G works on 1.60 bios.
Later today im getting a 5700G and I'll confirm if that works on 1.60 bios as well.
And for the X300 desk mini bios make sure you're using bios from here:

5700G works on 1.60 bios.
I've updated to 1.70 as thats the official firmware level that supports 5k CPU's.
I must say the X300 with the 5700G is excellent.
Paird with that 3800 RAM from Corsair im able to push the sticks to 4000 at 3800 timings and get a 1:1 fabric with the CPU & Mem. Excellent performance ! I'll take some screenshots tomorrow, but its really a fantastic setup and feels very fast.

Do you cross flash AB350 Gaming-ITX/ac with X300 BIOS? I don't think if I understand this correct... If you cross-flashed and it works, than I will gonna upgrade soon. Do you have any peripheral issue?

New B450 ITX bios available. Cross-flashed and Successful boot with Ryzen 1700. Will test if it works with 5600G. There are some rumors about if AGESA 1.2.0.5 should lifted the ban...
Please let us know your results! I have the exact same board and am considering a similar APU build with the Ryzen 5 5600G.

On another note, I know the Asrock AB350-ITX actually has HDMI 2.0 ports (not 1.4 as advertised). Do you know if the board will support two displays (one 2560x1440, one 1920x1080, both at 60Hz) with an APU?

Don't even tried by borrowing the CPU from friend because learn somewhere that 1.2.0.5 bios still has a B300 lock for Cezanne cores. But probably it will work with 4600G...

And, HDMI bridge is in CPU I think. So yes, If has to support. At worst, signal might be degraded and might generate artifacts at worst... At least I can enter bet for $100 for being work...

Looks like AGESA 1.2.0.7 will solve our problems getting the Ryzen 5000 series to work. It will also support 4000 series. Hopefully ASRock will release it for these boards.

Reference.

Even Asus are coming out with this, though confusingly omitting B350 boards: https://www.techpowerup.com/292983/asus-announces-bios-support-for-ryzen-5000-4000-processors
Let's see if they will include the B350 boards in the 1.2.0.7 release. It's still another full month away before its release.

Gigabyte don't even mention the X370. But strangely they list the A320. GIGABYTE AMD Motherboards Natively Support the Latest AMD Ryzen™ 5000/ 4000 CPUs | News - GIGABYTE Global
