The CPU support list has been updated with Matisse and Picasso. All the lineups are officially supported. Would be interesting to see their official memory QVL for Matisse. Hopefully it'll get listed soon.

I got around to putting my 3600 in last night. 5.7 (only 3x00 bios) is hot garbage. I have tested 2 different kits of B-Die and both fail when XMP is enabled. Turns my desktop, just moving the mouse around, into a stutter reboot fest with an event viewer full of whea errors. Disable XMP, fine. 1903 reloaded and all new drivers. Same story.

Put my 2600X back in and everything is working great. I’m going to send Asrock another email today if I have some time.

The 2 kits I tested are below, I didn't feel like testing others as both are working fine with the 2600X.

3200CL14 @ F4-3200C14D-16GVR
3600CL16 @ F4-3600C16D-16GTZKW

i tried upgrading from a 1700 to a 3700x and my system wouldn't even boot properly, was always restarting by itself.
Got into the bios once and one time into windows, but it was buggy and unusable.
BIOS was resetted and on P5.70, my RAM on standard settings (F4-3200C14-8GFX).

i am returning the CPU and will maybe try again when a stable bios is released with newer AGESA.
Or i will just get a x570 when there are more ITX available, just the gigabyte right now.

Sorry to hear that... The 3600 and 3700x are very promising for SFF and unfortunately the bios teething issues on 300/400 series boards seem rampant.

Should be a nice upgrade for all of us who already have boards but not happening quite yet it seems.

There are some boards and BIOSes that don't apply the correct voltage to the memory on boot. So the DDR4-3200 specced memory is getting 1.2V instead of 1.35V which it needs for that rated speed. It's not the CPU, it's the board. Especially if you have Samsung B-die you are not supposed to be having an issue with memory.

I know, the RAM will run 2400 @1.2V on default. Switching back to my 1700 and everything runs like normal.
Maybe i got unlucky and have a faulty 3700x, but testing in my ncase m1 is no fun, to switch my cpu i have to get out almost everything.

It looks like some people are also having M.2 issues with this new BIOS 5.70...

EDIT - By the way there are beta BIOSes with AGESA 1.0.0.3 for other Asrock boards, which people have reported successes with. But none available for the X370 / AB350 ITX yet.

Bios 5.9 for X370 is posted. i'll give her a shot tonight. fingers crossed.

1. Update AMD AGESA Combo-AM4 1.0.0.3 ABB
2. Improve Destiny2 gaming experience with Matisse CPU.

*ASRock do NOT recommend updating this BIOS if Pinnacle, Raven or Summit Ridge CPU is being used on your system.
*This BIOS does NOT support following Bristol Ridge CPU due to the limited BIOS ROM size: Athlon x4 970/950/940, A12-9800/9800E, A10-9700/9700E, A8-9600, A6-9550/9500/9500E
*Before updating this BIOS, please also read the description in previous BIOS version.

** AVOID 5.9 **

Clear CMOS, put the 3600 back in. Loaded windows to desktop, Restarted. Updated bios to 5.9. Rebooted 4 or 5 times during training. Finally loaded back to desktop. Restarted again, entered bios. New bios screen. Okay. Loaded XMP. F10. (not kidding) 7 to 10 mins later PC finally loads back to desktop, after restarting 5+ times to the splash screen. No XMP settings loaded. Shut down. Restart. Med fan spin from both GPU/CPU. (knowing this is a failed boot from every other bios for this board) Kill power. Clear CMOS. Back to 4 or 5 restarts before I can get back to desktop. Rinse and repeat for a good 45+ mins trying to get anything to work here.

I'm on 5.9 w/ 3600 now. Stock w/ 2133MHz memory. I will say, it's WHEA Error 17 free (so they got that right, at least).

The downside, if you change anything in bios (even CPU fan speed from normal to performance), it will take 4 or 5 restarts to splash screen before it will load into windows and thats if your're lucky. Most the time it's med fan spin on the CPU/GPU and a clear CMOS to get back into windows.

This is strike 2 for this board and this manufacture.

I'm currently researching X470/X570 options from other manufactures and will be voting with my wallet from now on. Other manufactures have had 'ABB' versions of the AGESA available since AMD released it for their 'A320' boards and we have to wait a month for another BIOS that doesnt work. unreal.

My Asrock replacement showed up today from Newegg. B450 I Aorus Pro WIFI. Showed up 'Ryzen 3000 Ready'. Dropped the 3600 in, loaded the newest bios from USB (F42a) and off I went. No XMP problems. No WHEA 17 Errors. I can change anything I want in bios and it works. Finally. It just works.

Some light stress testing and I'm going to play around w/ Ram and get some games installed.

the Asrock X370 ITX will get used for something, just not sure what. 1 of the boxes I manage will get an upgrade, not sure which one. Thanks to those who have contributed to this thread, it was fun. I just wish Asrock didnt decide to abandoned their once flagship ITX Product.

Hi,

I'm still on 4.90 BIOS (Ryzen 1600) and everything is working nice.
Do you think I should update to 5.30/5.60/5.70/6.00/ BIOS or not?

Tnx
I advise you not to update if everything is working for you.

Each time you update bios you can see unforeseen issue..;)
