For those of you who were following the Gigabyte B85 View Paker board etc. Some time back, I noticed this little gem on the ASRock motherboard listing today:

http://www.asrock.com/mb/Intel/B150M-PIO/

Worth noting is that the PCIe slot appears to be situated on the top of the board so that both the CPU and GPU fans will face the same direction. There is also an H110 version available, but so far as I know the B150 is a nicer chipset. Otherwise they appear to be completely identical to one another. I've been unable to find a reseller for the board so far, but since they seem to be fairly new additions to the list, hopefully they'll be available soon.

Will they though?
In addition to the View Packer and Gigabyte's offerings are both OEM only, not available to consumers as far as I can tell.

I wonder what's limiting manufacturers to putting them in microDTX / microATX form factors though.
Surely an angled connector and its wiring can fit within mITX?

I did contact View Paker at one point and ask if they'd sell me one of their B85 boards directly to which they promptly replied yes. So if these don't come to retail, I can't imagine they'd be that hard to get ahold of anyways.

If it requires a specialized case to make use of the main feature anyway, why bother fitting standard cases?

I was curious and looked it up, PIO stands for Parts-In-One. I guess the distinction being they're mostly discrete parts built into an PIO chassis as opposed to the more integrated laptop-style AIO.

Are the AIO barebone cases these boards are supposed to go with available too?

Like AIO monitors? I've seen some of those for sale but I need to double check that they support the discrete graphics.

These motherboards obviously won't work in a normal case so I was just curious if compatible cases are available since they're selling the boards by themselves.

I haven't seen any cases yet, just DIY AIO monitors. Maybe in a few months some small makers will do something with these.
