CPU Anyone got the mount hole spacing for RTX 4090 cards?

I'm trying to figure out if there is any compatibility to be had between the 4090 PCBs that are out there with any existing coolers. In particular, 4070/4070Ti coolers and various 3080 coolers.

I want to cram a 4090 into my Velka 7 but none of the 4090 cards will ever fit because they are too long. I will deshroud and mount noctua fans on the outside of the side panel, so a 3 slot air cooler is perfectly reasonable for this.

Undervolting the 4090 to 300W (or even just settings its power limit...) will make thermals a nonissue.

Doing some pixel metrology based on photos now...

- The long pcie finger width is 71.15mm (calipered with a physical card on hand)

For this gigabyte card:

- horizontal spacing between hole centers is 1581 px
- length of pcie finger is 1920 px (wow!)

That makes for 71.15 * 1581/1920 = 58.58

- 1823 px vertical spacing
71.15 * 1823/1920 = 67.5,

This matches

So I'm fairly confident that 58.5/67.5mm is the spacing, and also it appears like aftermarket 3080 coolers would have the same spacing.

I actually have a FTW3 3090 on hand... could it be possible? slapping that HSF onto a 4090... I have also a 3090 XLR8 but I'm fairly certain that one is too long to fit in the case.

This kind of transplant involves probably more than just matching up the mounting holes' dimensions.
Eg caps and chokes might have physical conflict with the cooler, and, the VRMs might need cooling and the position is likely different...etc
Thus, double check these areas.

BTW, your pics are not showing.
