Discussion Any ITX build with type-c power input?

I need to take my itx pc move between home and office frequently. I already have a monitor with type c power output which can power laptops. So I wonder if there is any itx case using type c as dc input and a dc-atx can be used inside the case?

So far I've never seen ITX cases using USB-C DC input, but googling "USB-C to DC input" yields interesting results. Not sure if those are what you need tho.

Ah, that's heaps for a lower power SFF build! A simple adapter may work to convert to a normal style DC-DC (DC-ATX) internal PSU..

Not quite as elegant as a direct Type-C input though :/

I've recently purchased a Type-C to 2.5x5.5 cable to run a NUC with a small GaN adapter instead of the original big brick. It will take Type-C PD as input (max 100W) and provides 20V as output. You could probably somehow combine this with a HDPLEX DC-ATX (for normal ITX boards) or get a mini PC like a NUC or DeskMini with 2.5x5.5 DC input...

but I would be very, very careful that your setup is not exceeding the power output capabilities of your monitor else you might fry it...

Yep, that's the way you have to do it atm, might be slightly cleaner if you hook up al regular PD trigger to a panel mount type-c extension so you can keep it all neatly inside the case.

Look at this 19.5v 180w output charger... I don´t know wether the ripple characteristics are good enough to plug it to a pc directly, but it s a very interesting and cheap device.
