When using the link "http://smallformfactor.net", this shows:

Using https://smallformfactor.net works. It would be nice if there was some sort of forwarding or redirection from the http to the https site.

I went to http://smallformfactor.net/forum and it did not auto-forward me to the https:// version on IE.

The base site did forward correctly.
Same behaviour for me. Tested with Palemoon 27.0.2 and Chrome 54.0.2840.99 m, with two different machines and on both my home connection (UK, uses Google's DNS) and via the work network (proxies out to the US, uses local DNS servers).

Ok, https redirect on the forum should be working now.

Now I just need to fix the www to no-www redirect again and everything should behave as expected.

My phone is really struggling to access the site with Chrome on Android over cellular. It brings up the error about privacy, but when you go past that screen it doesn't fully load properly either.

Accessing on my laptop now using my phone as a router and it works perfectly.

Both the news site and the forum, or just one?

And could you screenshot the error or write down exactly what it says?

Have you tried clearing cache and cookies on the phone?

Ok, it really for sure should be fixed now.

The final issue is that the intermediate certificates were missing on the new server. Desktop browsers and iOS don't usually throw errors when that happens but Android is more strict about it. I now have the intermediate certs installed so all browsers and operating systems should load the site over https correctly as well as redirect from http.

What I often run into though is 5 months later they'll call and tell me about some issue the computer has had since I worked on it but by then I have completely forgotten what I did :\

Poor wiki :(

I meant to implement the same fix and forgot and no one's noticed until now. I'll fix it either today if I have time or next weekend.
