When using the link "http://smallformfactor.net", this shows:

Using https://smallformfactor.net works. It would be nice if there was some sort of forwarding or redirection from the http to the https site.

I was having a similar issue yesterday when using chrome browser on my phone. When connected through WiFi it was saying the site wasn't safe, something to do with the HTTPS, but when I used mobile connection it worked OK. Only started yesterday.

There is a redirect in place but it seems to have issues with the new server. I'll look into it.

If anyone else is having this problem please chime in with browser, OS, and Internet type (cellular vs landline).

Ok, I tweaked the redirect rules so let me know if it works correctly now.

Nope, exact same error as before. I also tested it with Edge, doesn't work either.

Firefox looks good, though, even when forcing http in the URL the redirect to https works perfectly.

Ok, I need to do more work but for now I have it setup so that http should be able to access the site at least.

Seems like it work, though now the lock in the address bar is gone, even when I force https :( Something like "This connection is private, though someone in your network might be able to modify the appearance of the site." (Translated from German)

Also, switching to http and back to https logs me out :D I think it would be better to remove the http forwarding if anyone else has that problem and only put in a fully working solution. Or make a small landing page "please insert 'https://' before the URL to continue" for http. Very weird situation.

I can fix it, just need to setup the .htaccess to redirect to https since the Cloudflare page rule isn't working consistently for some reason with the new server.

The only issue is I need to exclude the RSS feed since some readers don't handle loading the feed over https. I should be able to implement that after I get off work later today.

Almost.

http://smallformfactor.net forwards to https://smallformfactor.net and the connection is being marked as secure properly.
http://smallformfactor.net/forum doesn't forward to https://smallformfactor.net/forum and the connection is being marked as not private by the browser, but it does reliably log me out if I was previously logged in, so that's something. Unfortunately it doesn't seem to prevent logging in, so there's potential danger of people logging in via that and a 3rd party eavesdropping on their connection.

It also seems like the https site is still including http resources, but that's a different matter.

Maybe try clearing cookies and cache? There really shouldn't be anything keeping it from redirecting now.

Doesn't change a thing in either browser. Have you tried it with your machine? Maybe something else is fucked up on my system.

Try now?

I think it's may be a DNS caching issue with certain ISPs but it should have cleared out by now so I'm not sure.

Edit: And I've tried it on computers that have never been to the site before so it's not my local cache. Everything works fine for me so makes it hard to test.

It does for me. If nothing has changed meanwhile, it's probably something that's being cached.
