ASUS Announces New VivoMini PCs at CES

Continuing the trend towards SFF computing (we hope!), ASUS has launched three new VivoMini PCs at CES. Supporting Kaby-Lake, the new systems offer solid performance in a small space, just what we like. The range is recommended to retail from US$275 to US$799.   UN65U Starting at US$275-$449, the UN65U will be available in Q1 2017. Supporting up to a 512GB M.2 SSD, the system also provides support for a 1TB 2.5″ HDD. MSI Announces the Aegis SFF Gaming PC

MSI Computer Corp has launched yet another SFF (or very close to SFF) Gaming system the MSI Aegis Barebone PC. Aegis comes with a unique case design that is compact, easy to upgrade and houses a full sized MSI GeForce graphics card, up to a GTX 980 Ti. The chassis includes a built in stand, handle and is purported to be suitable for hauling to LAN parties. MSI Launches New SFF Prebuilt, the Nightblade MI

Well, it looks like SFF has hit the mainstream – even the big hardware makers are pre-building SFF systems for you! MSI has just launched their new system, the Nightblade MI. Measuring 126.7 x 234.8 x 340.6 mm in size (10.13 litres), this system really does fit the bill of Small Form Factor. Materials appear to be steel and plastic, but the major standout is the CPU cooler – is that a laptop style cooler we see there? No word yet on how loud this system will be.
