Zotac has launched the Magnus One Ultra SFF PC coming in at 11.46L of volume, and packing and RTX 5080. The CPU is a the Intel Ultra 7 265, a 20 core unit. Memory support includes 2x DDR5 CSODIMM or SODIMM, and 2x M.2 slots.
The Magnus One Ultra is a considerable size increase from the original Magnus One, which came in at approximately 8.5L of volume. The Ultra grows in length in order to accommodate a large 3-fan GPU.The GPU is fully upgradeable.
The original Magnus One was provided to SFFN for review when it launched. However, our unit came damaged from a previous reviewer, and we never got to publish the article. I did get to spend quite a bit of time with it, and found the unit to be well built, but in need of more CPU cooling to truly take advantage of the CPU performance on tap. With the Ultra not growing in width or height, I have concerns that the Intel Core Ultra 265 will find itself throttling due to a heatsink more appropriate for Ryzen 9600X. Time will tell if my concerns come to fruition. Regardless, GPU and gaming performance should be good, though I personally would prefer to see a Ryzen 9850X3D as the CPU.
