Let’s be honest, with today’s hotter hardware, keeping a SFF system to under 20L is a challenge. However, some interesting options exist in the 20-25L bracket – including the newly launched Colorful iGame Lab Vulcan Armor chassis. This 24L chassis is of an interesting design, intended to match the vendor’s NVIDIA GeForce RTX 50-series cards in the same branding space. Indeed, a select few cards match the cut-out in the side of the chassis, enabling easy access to fresh air.
Specifically, the chassis is designed for the iGame RTX 5070 Ti Vulcan W OC, 5080 Vulcan W OC, 5090 D v2 Vulcan W OC 24 GB, and 5090 D Vulcan W OC 32 GB cards. The GPU cut-out is a different take on the idea shown to us a couple of years ago with the Xiikii Industry FF04 ProArt case, and is an aesthetic I welcome – for those without small pets or children that could possibly be endangered by the fans!
Measuring in at 617 × 186.6 × 210 mm, or 24.2 litres, it’s not small by our standards, but definitely small in the grand scheme of things. The case supports a standard M-ITX motherboard, as well as SFX PSUs up to 110mm long. A 240mm closed loop cooler is included, with a pair of slim fans mounted. Front panel connectivity comes in the form of aUSB 3.2 Type-C port and a pair of USB 3.0 ports.
On the top of the chassis in the preview images is the Vulcan screen – no word on whether or not this is included with the chassis, just that the case has a specific spot for it to mount via magnets – the wording is ambiguous, hence us being unsure here.
