With all the media attention around the Ryzen X SKUs, the non X variants usually fall by the wayside. For us though, the non X variants are usually the lower wattage chips, perfect for our SFF Systems.
TechPowerup reports that AMD is preparing to launch the Ryzen 7 7700. This will be a 8 core / 16 thread chip based on the new Zen 4 architecture like it’s 7700X brother, but with lower clock speeds. This will likely be a 65w TDP chip (rejoice!!), but unfortunately, it’s likely to be OEM only. Group buy anyone? I wonder what the MoQ is…
