Hi! I'm new here on the forums and also new to sff pc builds. Browsing the forums has already helped me a lot but I need some more information. I bought a HDPLEX 160W and a 19V 180W HP laptop power brick. To my knowledge this should work without problems, right? I live in EU and the power brick seems to be compatible with the wall. The connector also fits perfectly.

My other question is that how do I connect a custom power button to a motherboard? I ordered the button online and it does not have the required connectors.

I am a noob with this stuff and I don't know the right search words to do research. Thank you in advance!

Welcome to the forum :)
for your power button, I'd recommend getting something like this:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01GO4K8A2/?tag=theminutiae-20

you can use it the way it is to test the system, and then cut the cables and solder the button once everything is working fine. should be easy enought

if you screw something, the reset switch connector works as a backup switch , as they are the same thing basically.

Thank you! :) I think this is a good idea and maybe the only option with the button I have.
