I need one of these things. What's the correct terminology for it and where can I buy one?

That's an AC inlet, this particular model is the IEC C14, which should get you plenty of results on sites like Mouser or Digikey.

Whereabouts in the world are you located? Major electronics suppliers and local parts stores should be able to supply these, search for IEC C14 panel mount.

Please be extremely careful playing with 110/240V electricity, make sure you safely ground any conductive equipment/chassis and double/triple check wiring and switches before touching anything!
