Hello community! I want to build my first small form-factor pc and need advice. I was really impressed when I see this guy :
https://smallformfactor.net/forum/threads/dan-a4-sfx-v3-9700k-rtx-2080-ti.9740/

But I can`t understand what case form-factor has the best cooling. I don't want to use water cooling(if it's possible) and I can`t choose what is the better choice: DAN (little box form-factor) case or something like Silverstone ml08 (Xbox style case). Now I have msi gtx1080ti armor and I want to use it right now, but I hope that in a few months I can switch to rtx 2080 ti. So I need some help of the community to decide which form-factor I have to choose and which of them has better airflow(cooling) solution. Thank You!!!

PS I don`t want to undervolt my GPU

And one more question, what MB I have to choose if I want to use it with my 7700K CPU? If it`s possible
If I understand everything clearly, I can use any 1151 mini-itx MB, am i Right? So even if I`ll choose something cheap from that list, everything gonna be okay?

I got my eye on that one

You can use any 100 series or 200 series chipset motherboard for the 7700K. Ideally a Z270 board.

I would strongly consider the M1 against the A4. You'll be able to use (much) better air coolers for your 7700K.

i7 7700k is perfectly fine under max load (4.5GHz All Core Turbo) with a L9i HSF inside of the DAN A4, even without the shroud.

That being said, it's about the most TDP one could fit into there and still be <90C under max load.

Visually, that MSI board looks like it has a very weak VRM section (I did not do any research to back up that claim). I have a Gigabyte H110 board like that, and it continuously overheated the VRMs under load with my i7 7700k (even gaming would cause it), which forced the board to throttle the CPU dramatically.

DAN vs ML08...

I feel like you're asking this:

Okay guys, thank you! I have one more question, what do you think about that one GPU ASUS GeForce RTX 2080 Ti Turbo. If I understand everything clearly it has a turbo system that blows heat air out of the case, but will it work in such a small PC. I mean, what do you think, is it enough as the cooling solution to play 4k ultra games when that GPU in so small box, or it's better to take something that has more typically cooling system?

And what do you think about water cooling, I want to use this system for traveling, cause I think that in my case (gaming, 4k video editing) it will be much better than any laptop, the question is: how do you think, Air Cooling System is okay if it will be always in planes, buses, etc. I mean, if my pc will be almost always turn off and transporting, is it okay for water cooling? If I understand everything clearly, water cooling is a better solution, it makes the system not so loud and heat, am I right? And if yes, then the question is: can I find a water cooling system and put it in my Dan a4 to make cold both GPU and CPU and if yes how do you think can I find the cooling system for ASUS RTX 2080TI TURBO and my 7700K?

The 100 series was released to support the 6th generation Intel processors, but will support 7th generation with a BIOS update. It is possible if you get a 100 series board it will not have the BIOS update and your 7700k wouldn't work with it. 200 series will support your 7700k. You want the z270 since you have a k series CPU, it is the only one that allows for overclocking, it also allows for faster ram speeds.

And what can you say about b250? The problem is that I can't find z270i locally, all that I have here is b250 and i can use my7700K without overclocking in 4.5 mode, how do you think can I use it with b250 that way, it looks like b250 has 7gen support from the box...?

And guys what do you think about sizes, my gtx1080ti armor oc much bigger that FE, can I put it to dan a 4???

If the z270 is unavailable the b250 will be fine, long as you are comfortable not being able to over clock.

The power section on that one looks identical to the previous board. I'd also assume it throttles under load with a 7700k.

I'm assuming MSI boards are easier to acquire where you are? I personally went with the ASRock Z270 Fata1ty when I found out (the hard way) how bad my Gigabyte H110 ITX board was. VRMs no longer go over 75C under load. The ASrock isn't stricly speaking the best ITX board for the 7700k, just the best one for what I wanted (TOSLINK, 6+ USB ports, decent power section, M.2 slot).

So what about size of gtx 1080ti Armor OC, is it ok to use with Dan?

Sh1111t Guys, I`m in trouble. It looks like my 1080ti armor oc has much bigger width that i can put into dan((((((((((
what you can say about it. What another small case I can use?
