Hi everybody,

Firstly, let me start off by saying that I am big fan of this forum and you guys are one of the reasons for motivating me to start an A4 build. So, thanks!

I must preface by explaining my knowledge base. I have built around 5 pc’s in the past, the break now is since my last GTX 780 PC. In general not a specialist and a fan of OCing.

Around a month ago, I purchased a 4K Blade 15. I was not very satisfied with the purchase (temps, throttling and build quality), I then decided to purchase the DAN A4 from Caseking.de.

However, I kindly need your help, in the first instance with setting up the components in BIOS.

Component List

Ryzen 7 2700 (non-X),
Corsair 16GB RGB Vengeance 3200mhz
GTX 780 (waiting for my 2080 FE)
1tb NVME WD Black
Noctua NH-L9a

I have set the bios to the image attached and I have undervolted the processor by 0.075. Under full stress load the clocks of all cores hover around 3.2Ghz. With a temp of 75c max after 30 min which is IMHO is quite respectable all considering the blend run of Prime95.

However I think my cores are not boosting to the 4 ghz on single threaded loads. What worries me is the 1456CB score, which I find low. How do I optimize the processor? Any recommendations for BIOS?

Thanks!

One more thing, I noticed that the ram frequency is low in CPU-Z. How come?

DDR is double data rate. Thus, take DRAM freq X 2. Your ram is running at the correct speed of 1600 X 2 = 3200mhz.

As to your cpu not boosting to 4Ghz, try running something with light single thread load, like web browsing, and monitor the boost speed.

Please run Chinebench Single Core Benchmark and use CoreTemp or CPU-Z to show what clock every core has. Maybe you have to install AMD Ryzen power profile for Windows 10 (https://community.amd.com/community/gaming/blog/2017/04/06/amd-ryzen-community-update-3)

Thank you. I have run the single thread benchmark, however what is does is distributes it across the processors. With regards to the power profile I already have the AMD Ryzen profile.
