I didn't hear much back on the tall tophat users as far as a custom or AIO loop. I did a Corsair 120mm AIO --fact it's running right now.
You think a 3070 pcb is short enough to fit?

looks like the PCB itself is. The entire rear fan is just a blow through cut out. I figure with a water block and maybe an undervolt it should be more than fine. Might also just wait for a itx version of it or the 6800 (great call guy above me) but an itx 2080ti on water seems pretty damn appealing to me.

Re the 120mm, it seems like setting the fan to exhaust up through the rad and out the case is the best way to set it up, am I theorizing correctly?

OMG :) check out preformace pr watt. and other numbers are amazing, just need someone to go ITX.... :)

215W peak gaming, 164w sustained sounds promising. I hope MSI slaps their Aero ITX on it.

From going on past cards, I think an ITX 6700 series is more likely, as with the exception of Zotac's Mini cards (nVidia only and 210-215mm) we don't tend to get 175mm cards with a TDP of more than about 225W.

Based on rumour though that means we're still looking at about 2080 Super performance in ITX form which is fine by me.

Agreed. I've held off on buying a new monitor solely because of upcoming gpu releases. I want to know if I can comfortably push 144fps@1440p maxed settings, or near max.

Totally fine by me as well. A bit overkill for me, in fact.

Nevertheless it's going to be interesting & I believe a welcomed upgrade for many of you here.

It has a 254 watt draw during furmark....Not good for it's ITX chances. Typically you don't see more than 180 watts on a two slot single fan ITX board. 210 or 220 was the absolute limit I've seen. Still, I'm hopeful!

I agree, 150w is the sweet spot with 180w seeming to be the sensible upper limit of what can be cooled by a 170mm length of single fan heatsink.

Well, its furmark. just need someone to make a bios that's not pushing to much vcore. Tech yes city on youtube undervolted the XT with 90w and that's alot. though numbers are strange, 164w average gaming while furmark is 254w. for the 2070 its 195w while furmark@200w. Just staying positive since we have such an effisient arcitecture. but my oney is ob the rx 6700.

The issue is that any user can run Furmark at anytime, and the OEM cards have to be stable. Additionally, the board partners are under restrictions from Nvidia / AMD with regard to specific build specs. You can't go under a certain spec and still call it a 2070 or 3080 or 6800.

I think we might see the 6700XT or 3060ti as ITX cards. I hope something can be done for the 3070 and 6800, but I'm not holding my breath.

The one that springs to mind as being high TDP but short was the Vega 56 ITX version, I think that could pull over 200W at full tilt - but also reviews stated that it had thermal problems and noise issues.

Hey!
I've just managed to pick up one of your cases online (second hand obviously). I've noticed on your website that you still seem to have stock of the HDD brackets. Is this the case? Or is it just out of date?

Curious where performance will be with the 3060. 3060 Ti is 2080 Super performance wise, so possibly 2070 Super? If so won't be a huge performance upgrade, would have been nice to see a 3060 Ti itx version.

I was still hoping for a 3070 LOL. I’ll take what I can get though. I’m not waiting to see if a faster card gets made as these cards sell fast and are limited run. If they make the 3060ti later, I’ll sell this on eBay or something.

Nvidia said twice the rasterization performance of the 1060. That puts the 3060 at about the same performance as a 5700XT or 2070 Super. Should be good for 1440P on older titles, and 1080P on newer ones. Cyberpunk is the exception to this of course.

Either way, it’s a lot faster than my 1070, and brings DLSS and Raytracing into play.

Same here, MSI 1070 have been great and I'm happy to se their keeping the fan. hopefully more heatpipes? But was hoping for 1 8pin for less spaghetti mess. setting the 3060 up for 375w seems a litle overkill.

3060 kompares roughly with the 2080 super?

The 3060 Ti compares with the 2080 Super, there aren't any benchmarks out yet for the 3060.

Nvidia said that the rasterization performance of the 3060 is about twice that of a 1060. That puts it into the territory of a 2070 Super or 5700XT depending on the game, and if they were accurate with their estimate.
