This has to be one of the coolest SFF projects I’ve ever seen. The Eric Experiment, seen above pointing at pure awesome, built a real 486 DX4 100MHz into a custom made 3D printed case. He didn’t stop there, as he also crafted a mini-monitor to go with it.
The system uses an ISA backplane as the foundation for the system. He then used a 486 SBC for the CPU and RAM, ESS soundcard, Tseng Labs ET4000 for graphics, and a SMC ethernet card. Eric designed and 3D printed the case from scratch.
