I dont think you can go smaller than a node 202 as a console size case. Maybe a Sentry or something else will be smaller, but you need to put the SFX psu somewhere, and putting it beside the mobo creates a large GPU which gives the manufacturer/consumer larger GPU compatibility. You could go much smaller if you ditch the SFX and go for separate AC-DC and DC-ATX power components, or with an external AC-DC brick seen in laptops.

the case above :

a) fits an internal 300W PSU, without mods [ currently you have to sand down your 300W PSU, to get it into similar size cases ]
b) fits either a CryOrig C7 Cu, or ThermoLab LP53 cooler, without mods
c) is much smaller than a Zaber Sentry

i was looking the smallest case that still fit an SFX Power Supply ..

that's because you're assuming that SFX is higher quality, than other PSUs.

ask anyone on this forum whether HDPLEX units from Larry, aren't the same quality as SFX power supplies.

you can't get a significantly smaller case, until you substitute something else for the large SFX unit.

is that kind of power brick as good as an SFX PSU (SF450 in my case) ?

yes, that 300W internal PSU is rated at approximately 95% efficiency.

Only if you are comfortable going down that road. It can make things much more complicated than simply using an SFX supply. I wouldn't talk anyone into it unless they really wanted a much smaller case. You can get smaller cases than the Node, while still maintaining an SFX power supply. The Dancase is also a good option.

agrees.

the OP's simplest solution would be to ditch his large SFX, in exchange for an internal 300W HDPLEX, or something very similar.

HDPLEX is amazing quality.
