Hello, I am new here.

Quick rundown. I have a PC with a Nvidia GTX 780 3GB that is able to run World of Warcraft at 100 FPS.
But I also have a real old laptop that can only handle about 9 FPS and this is the one I would replace with this new build.

I would love to have the smallest possible chassis. To leave by the TV stand and and use the TV as a monitor.

I found this case is this a good one? thermal efficient and quiet?

It seem that they recommend the MSI Radeon RX 460 4GT LP not sure if that is a huge upgrade from the GTX 780.
Not sure if the GTX 980 or 1050 would fit.

any advice welcome.

thanks,
wow I dint realized that my old 780 seem to be way better than the 1050.
Do you think that setup would hold up for at least 5-6 yrs.

I am a little concern with the previous case as far as heat I don't want to cook the PC.
What about this one. Node 202 case

Seems reasonable enough. There are a few build threads here using that case. I'd step up and get the 6GB version of the 1060 (non-DT), if it's available for a reasonable price.
Don't know how wedded you are to Intel, but if I had to do it again, I'd go with Ryzen5 for the following reasons:
-more cores and hyper threading for very similar price
-Ryzen 5 1600X has an actual TDP of 70W (even though officially it's 90+)
-comes with a decent enough cooler that you could defer or omit the Cryorig for about the same cost
-AMD will support AM4 socket for a while. Intel has already said that z270 will not support the next gen Intel consumer CPUs
