Well, the FSP Dagger Pro 850 Review is done. After what was an exhausting couple weeks of testing, it turns out, it's pretty good and my test unit was really quiet. I don't have access to high end voltage and PSU testing equipment, so I build systems up to torture test. This also means I can't just set a test cycle and walk away. It can get a little tiring.

Here is the review.

Congrats - it's done now, beer time ;)

Review TL;DR:

Whoa...been a while. I'm back now.

Right now I'm working on compiling the first of our GPU Tests for our new GPU database. Rather than start with a known quantity, I'm starting with a GTX 1080FE. How does it perform in games in late 2022 with a 12900K? I'll have 13 benchmarks in 1080P, 1440P, and 4K to show you. Here is a sneak peak of Borderlands 3.

I just refurbished my 980Ti reference model that I originally bought when it launched in 2015 for my 6700K Ncase M1. Deep cleaning with new Thermal Grizzly paste. This was always a good performing card and if the temps are kept down, could maintain 1,450mhz (ish) overclock. Left stock it settles in at about 1250mhz.

Dirt 5 at 1080P Ultra is sitting at an average of about 50FPS at the overclocked speeds. Unfortunately, the sound level is at 64 dBA from 1 foot away to get that speed. That's at 100% fan speed which is 4,800 RPM from a blower.

Nice. I used to have a GTX 980 reference and I well remember the noise level.
